SELECTION REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify, you must meet one of the following selection requirements at the time of filing.
Option I: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university* with a major in public or business administration, finance, or a closely related field -AND- five (5) years of progressively responsible experience defining, analyzing, and making recommendations relating to and making recommendations for the solution of problems relating to auditing processes, or grant development and oversight, or contract monitoring and assisting in the implementation of the solutions.
Option II: Masters Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or business administration, finance, or a closely related field* -AND- four (4) years progressively responsible experience defining, analyzing, and making recommendations relating to and making recommendations for the solution of problems relating to auditing processes, or grant development and oversight, or contract monitoring and assisting in the implementation of the solutions.
NOTE: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
A valid California Class C driver's license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a public agency
- Experience preparing comprehensive reports to executive management
- Experience leading a team
- Ability to foster strong relationships with all levels of staff including executive management
