A combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. A typical combination includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional experience performing employee/labor relations work and technical human resources duties
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
- SHRM or IPMA HR certification
- Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, or a related field
Knowledge of:
- Employment and anti-discrimination/harassment laws and regulations
- Local, state, and federal labor and civil rights laws
- Employee/workplace issues resolution
- Investigation methods and techniques
- Alternative work arrangements
- Personnel and employment practices
- Research principles and investigation techniques

- Compiling and analyzing complex data
- Handling highly confidential information
- Analyzing situations, identifying problems, and recommending solutions

- Documenting investigation results and recommendations
- Conducting confidential and complex harassment/discrimination investigations
