A typical way to obtain the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of this classification is as follows:
EDUCATION, , LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or technology field;
Experience: Ten (10) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certificates: Certification in the following areas is desirable: PMP, ITIL, Cisco, VMWare, and MCSE. If including certificates, please attach applicable copies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of several of the following technologies and industry standards:

- Network Firewalls;
- VMWare;
- Windows Active Directory;
- Microsoft Azure;
- Microsoft Exchange 2016;
- Unified Communication;
- Windows Server 2012/2016;
- Backup Systems; and
- Wide area networking topologies.
Skills:
- Be detail-oriented, a problem solver with proven success in a high-energy environment while juggling multiple tasks with critical deadlines;
- Be results-oriented and self-motivated;
Have excellent prioritizing skills and the proven ability to render quick and sound decisions; and - Have a strong appreciation for customer service and service quality improvement.
Ability to:
- Work in the field with minimal supervision;
- Effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally;
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals;
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public;
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
- To interpret a wide variety of technical instructions;
- Lift up to 50 lbs.;
- Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays; and
- Temporarily perform duties outside of standard classification in a declared emergency.
