Minimum Selection Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration or related field
- At least four (4) years of recent, direct, professional HR related experience, specifically in the area of recruitment and selection and preferably in the public sector
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience developing and applying creative recruiting solutions and workforce analytics for use in strategic planning and workforce development is preferred
- At least two (2) years of experience with NEOGOV or comparable applicant tracking system is preferred
- Human Resources Certification (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is preferred
Knowledge of:
- HR principles and practices, including administrative policies, regulatory laws and guidelines
- Applicant Tracking Systems (NEOGOV or comparable)
- Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures
- EEO rules and regulations, Title VII, FEHA, FLSA, ADA, and CFRA/FMLA
- Collective bargaining agreements
