Education: Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in human services, public administration, public relations, social services, sociology or a similarly related field is desired. A combination of education and experience may be considered as qualifying.
Experience: Three (3) years performing quality assurance responsibilities and/or similar-level of training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS:
Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and how it relates to Transit and Paratransit operations.
- Local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations governing transit, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.
- Audit methods and reporting practices to examine records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
- Computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), Edge, and Rider360.
SKILL IN:
- Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal staff and external shareholders.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and technical skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Rider360, as well as an affinity for technology.
- Using a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple word processing and databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the information.
- Critical thinking and using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
ABILITY TO:
- Possess strong analytical skills and demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions and solve problems
- Create and maintain positive working relations with elected officials, board members, community groups, special interest groups, and staff.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to persons with disabilities and possess political acumen.
- Create and maintain positive working relations with internal staff and external shareholders while possessing and practicing political acumen.
- Work independently, in a team setting, and prioritize responsibilities and projects as assigned.
