Through stewardship and innovation, TPW's Airport, Integrated Waste, Roads, and Transit Divisions lead the way to a safe and sustainable community. As the department's HR Coordinator, you will assist our Administrative Services Officers by providing technical and administrative support of department-wide recruitment, training, employee relations, disability management, and safety efforts. Additionally, you will support TPW's continuity of operations and:
- Develop strong working relationships with staff to better understand their strengths and needs
- Research rules, regulations, and best practices in order to assist in the development of special and long-term administrative projects, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, conduct pre-employment background and reference checks, and manage personnel files and records
- Review and enter records into our Applicant Tracking and Learning Management Systems (NEOGOV and Saba, respectively)
- Help to ensure compliance with the American's with Disability Act (ADA) and the Brown Act
- Experience researching, tracking, analyzing, and interpreting data
- Knowledge of database systems and advanced-level computer competencies
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to follow complex policies and procedures while juggling multiple deadlines
- High functioning customer service skills, in order to effectively handle inquiries, coordinate services for various internal and external stakeholders, and maintain collaborative working relationships
- The ability to handle frequent interruptions and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
