JOB SUMMARY:
Under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director of Technology, the Database Administrator will maintain a variety of databases and software applications. The Database Administrator will implement processes to ensure data accuracy and security, and contribute to a strong team environment by exhibiting high work standards and contributing to ongoing initiatives. The Database Administrator will also be responsible for the maintenance and operations of the District’s Student Information System. Candidate will be open to respond to a dynamic environment and be flexible to accommodate accordingly.

- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Education, Training and Experience:- Any combination equivalent to a bachelor degree or the equivalent with specific college course work or training in computer science or information technology
- Two years experience managing Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Visual C#, Microsoft Visual Basic or ASP.Net experience.
- Any other combination of education, training and/or experience which demonstrates the applicant is likely to possess the required skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:An applicant for this class will be required to obtain, at his/her own expense, and submit his/her motor vehicle driving record at the time of appointment. The record must meet and be maintained at the district’s safe driving record standard. Failure to meet this requirement will result in the disqualification and/or rejection of the eligible regardless of any other standing.- APPLICATION & EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations. The eligibility list for this classification will remain in effect for a period of 6 months.
