The Los Angeles County Office of Education is seeking highly qualified, meticulous, and self-motivated individuals that are interested in the management, verification, and monitoring of business data.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Possess the Following
Knowledge:
- Terminology, methods, and techniques of research, testing and assessment of automated business systems and databases
- Training techniques
- Processes and terminology used in the administration of accounting or financial functions
- Production management in support of functional business activities
- Applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Basic arithmetic
- Critical Thinking – Analytically and logically evaluating information, propositions, and claims
- Mathematical Facility – Performing computations and solving mathematical problems
- Legal & Regulatory Navigation – Understanding, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Professional & Technical Expertise – Applying technical subject matter to the job
- Using Technology – Working with electronic hardware and software applications
- Attention to Detail – Focusing on the details of work content, work steps, and final work products
- Self-Management – Showing personal organization, self-discipline, and dependability
- Oral Communication – Engaging effectively in dialogue
- Writing – Communicating effectively in writing
- Customer Focus – Attending to the needs and expectation of customers
- Relationship Building – Establishing rapport and maintaining mutually productive relationships

- Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent is required.
Experience: Three years of automated business systems experience processing, entering, and monitoring data and resolving related issues.
Additional Requirements: College coursework in accounting, business or personnel administration is desirable. A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required.
- Candidates who meet the minimum requirements above, will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a minimum qualification screening, written examination, computer performance examination, and structured interview. Candidates will need to meet or exceed the examination pass points to be placed on the eligibility list.

Candidates who pass all exam parts are ranked according to overall exam score and placed on an eligibility (hiring) list. Vacant positions are filled from the top three ranks. Eligibility lasts for 12 months; however, additional recruitment may occur under a separate bulletin with additional candidates being merged onto the eligibility list.
