Accounting Technician I

The Los Angeles County Department of Agricultural Commissioner/Weights & Measures is seeking a highly motivated and well-organized individual to fill the position of Accounting Technician I.  This position reports to the Departmental Finance Manager or Designee and is responsible for payment collection, data review, and producing cash ledger reports.   

This vacancy is located at 12300 Lower Azusa Road, Arcadia, CA 91006 and is a 4-40 work schedule, Monday through Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 

Essential Job Functions

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in general ledger accounting
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priority assignments, handle sensitive and confidential matters
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written, with all levels of staff, including external departments and outside agencies
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience handling cash
  • Strong attendance

Requirements
