A Clinical Assistant, under the supervision of a Physician, performs routine patient screenings, administers pre-employment physical examinations, evaluates patient histories, makes assessments and diagnoses; and does related work.

1. A valid Physician Assistant license issued by the Physician Assistant Examining Committee of medical Board of California; or

2. A valid Nurse Practitioner license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.  8/9/1996

The examination will consist entirely of an evaluation of your training, experience, and personal qualifications as they provide an understanding of: professional medical theories and practices; techniques for taking medical histories; conducting physical examinations; problems, procedures and techniques in the field of Occupational Health; safety principles and practices; the ability to act independently in conformance with established medical practices; to communicate and deal tactfully and effectively with applicants, City employees, other medical practitioners and the public; and other necessary skills, knowledges and abilities.
