Costuming, responsible for providing fully themed looks for our cast and characters that help bring world-famous Disney stories to life. Our teams develop, build, buy and repair costumes for locations across the Parks and Resorts segment. Our costumes appear on cast members and Characters world-wide; in all of our theme parks, resorts, on cruise ships and even in behind-the-scenes areas our guests never see. Responsibilities: Make an impact by? * Facilitating the creation, manufacturing and maintenance of Entertainment costumes * Partnering with Costumers, Buyers, Designers and various levels of management throughout the event cycle * Potentially assisting with draping, drafting, patterning, CAD/CAM process, costume construction, fittings, size charts and alterations What you bring to this role? * Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills * Experience with draping, garment construction, and/or pattern making * Ability and desire to learn and work with new methods of construction that are unique to Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Costuming * Ability to work with cross-functional teams Basic Qualifications: * Demonstrated planning and organizational skills with attention to detail * Knowledge of fabrics with an understanding of their relation to design and construction techniques * Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including evenings and weekends * Proven experience in the Apparel Industry, Textiles, Theater or related field Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated 3D and CAD/CAM computer experience * Millinery experience Required Education Currently earning a college/university degree as a junior or senior (up to 6 months after graduation) majoring in Apparel, Textiles, Theater or related field Additional Information: Required application materials.
