Local family operated food distribution and wholesale business is searching for a dependable and organized Warehouse Associate to join our team. We need a hardworking professional who can work mostly on his or her feet. This position is responsible for the daily operation of our warehouse, ensuring products are received, stored, prepared, and shipped accurately while maintaining a clean, safe, and food-compliant warehouse.

Job Title:          Warehouse Associate

Location:          City of Industry, CA

Job Type:          Full Time

Hours:               Full Time – Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

           Pay:                   Full Time – Negotiable depending on qualifications

                                    Part Time – $20 to $24 per hour depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

l  Receive, inspect, and accurately store incoming shipments.

l  Prepare orders for delivery, pulling materials, packing pallets/boxes, placing orders in delivery area, treat merchandise with care and concern at all times.

l  Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

l  Maintain and organize inventory in the warehouse.

l  Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

l  Assist with product labeling, palletizing, and general warehouse operations.

l  Other warehouse related work assigned by supervisor.

l  Operate company vehicle(s) to pick-up from local suppliers, or deliver orders to local customers. Ensures that trips are run safely, efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations. Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.

Qualification Requirements:

l  Previous warehouse experience preferred; food distribution experience is a plus.

l  Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

l  Must have a minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience, large vehicle driving experience or delivery experience preferred.

l  Ability to read, write and communicate in basic English, High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

l  Dependable and reliable hard working individual with good organizational skills, 2 years previous warehouse experience preferred.

l  Experience working with forklifts and pallet jacks preferred.

l  Authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Demands:

l  Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear;

l  Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs.; and

l  Ability to work on your feet for extended period of time.
