General Manager
LOCATION:Westfield UTC, 4301 La Jolla Village Dr., Suite 2040, San Diego, California
COMPENSATION:
Annual Base Salary: $130,000.00-$150,000.00
Eligible for annual performance incentive plan, based on individual and company results.
Actual base salary within the range is determined by factors including prior experience, industry expertise, current business needs, and market conditions. Range does not include potential bonus or benefits.

JOB SUMMARY:
As the General Manager, you will drive operational performance and strategic growth for the restaurant, leading both the FOH (Front of House) and BOH (Back of House) teams. You will ensure outstanding guest experiences, deliver financial results, and maintain compliance with regulations and company standards. This position is ideal for a visionary, hands-on leader motivated by a fast-paced, multicultural environment and building high-performing teams.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Management
· Oversee daily operations across FOH, BOH, takeout, and delivery, ensuring adherence to company SOPs and regulatory standards.
· Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly business plans to achieve sales and profit goals.
· Monitor KPIs such as average check, table turnover rate, and guest satisfaction, driving continuous improvement.
· Continuously track and analyze local market trends, gather industry information and customer needs, and promptly optimize store operational strategies and management processes to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Leadership & People Development
· Manage the FOH Manager, Kitchen Managers, and other department leaders to ensure cross-functional collaboration.
· Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff performance; lead by example to build a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
· Effectively schedule shifts, coordinate workforce allocation, and develop a strong pipeline of management talent to meet organizational needs.
· Utilize motivation programs, training, coaching, and regular team meetings to ensure team goals stay aligned with the company’s overall strategic objectives.
Guest Experience & Brand Representation
· Engage with guests during peak service periods to ensure service excellence, promptly address feedback and guest concerns.
· Analyze guest satisfaction surveys and reviews, implement strategies for elevated service and resolve complaints efficiently.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to execute local promotions and strengthen company brand and culture in the community
Financial & Resource Management
· Prepare and manage store budgets, control labor, food, and utility costs to meet profit targets.
· Oversee vendor relations, inventory control, supply chain coordination, and waste reduction.
· Review operational and financial reports; use clear and transparent communication to communicate results and action plans to corporate leadership through regular reporting and meetings to ensure.
Compliance
· Ensure full compliance with state, local and federal laws and regulations to mitigate business risks, including but not limited to labor, food safety, fire safety, and environmental requirements; maintain or promptly obtain ServSafe Manager Certification.
· Perform other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
· Passionate about the restaurant industry, with proven chain restaurant management experience; minimum of 2 years as a restaurant General Manager (including entrepreneurial experience is a plus) and a record of successful leadership.
· Experience managing teams of 20–30 employees, with hands-on ability in recruiting, training, and motivating staff; strong independent leadership skills.
· Proficient in budget management and capable of analyzing and interpreting financial statements (including cost controls, P&L, and key business metrics).
· Solid understanding of U.S. restaurant regulations and standards, with knowledge of food safety, labor laws, and restaurant operations.
· Fluent communication skills in both Chinese and English; exceptional coordination and cross-cultural interpersonal abilities.
· Demonstrated mature leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
· Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
· Ability to bend, stretch, and reach for products and supplies (with or without reasonable accommodations)
· Ability to work in temperature-variable environments including refrigerated areas and hot kitchen spaces
· Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area to uphold safety standard
