Prince of Peace Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an experienced Food Safety Compliance & QA Manager to join our team at the headquarters in Livermore, CA. Just outside San Francisco, our 153,000-square-foot warehouse and headquarters office building is accessible to San Francisco, San Jose, and the greater East Bay area.

As the Food Safety Compliance & QA Manager, you are responsible for creating, implementing, documenting, controlling, and maintaining the food safety programs and ensuring that all programs are implemented and maintained. You are responsible for conducting and scheduling food safety audits. You are also the product quality gatekeeper for the company.

Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and maintain documentation, manuals, policies, and procedures related to food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, regulatory audits, food safety training programs, standard operating procedures (SOPs), product inspections, and standardized work instructions.
- Identify, document, and report suggested corrective action for continuous compliance and improvement following changing requirements.
- Inspect products and equipment for conformity to applicable regulations and standards.
- Ensure that operations comply with federal, state, local, and specific customer and company food safety policies and regulations.
- Generate COA and arrange sample collection and testing of products as needed.
- To conduct facility food safety audits, coordinate and manage third-party audits
- Report results of safety audits and submit recommendations for corrective action to management for approval, as appropriate.
- Educate and advise management, and train employees on Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP), etc.
- Assist Buyers with training and educating potential suppliers to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and coordinate annual food safety training specific for supervisors and employees.
- Participate in ongoing, required food safety and organic-related training.
- Audit and inspect all operations as needed and whenever appropriate.
- Full participation during food safety audits.
- Occasional international travel to inspect supplier facilities and domestic travel for our other warehouse locations
- Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned by management.


Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in Food Safety inspection.
Food science-related education and background.
Effective problem solver with the ability to work independently.
Ensure company compliance with formal product recovery and recall procedures.
Experience in food safety, HACCP,GMP, USDA, FDA, and working with state and third-party inspection.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to make sound decisions, communicate and report verbal and written functions.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and management.
Bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus.
