Marketing Intern

Paid Internship$10 - $12/hr5 - 10 hrs/wk


Founded just over one year ago, Responsibly Organic was created with the importance of mentorship and leadership in mind. Today, Responsibly Organic is a fast-growing start-up encouraging mentorship within the hemp industry.

Your position will be to support our efforts to begin a national marketing campaign to bring attention to our sustainable product lines. You will be instrumental in building a strong presence on social media, attracting new clientele through various platforms, and setting the path to formulating new press relations. Also, you’ll have the creative bandwidth to assist in content creation and engage in a number of projects of your choosing. By the successful completion of this internship, the student will have a concrete understanding of integrated and omnichannel marketing strategy, how to write a press pitch, effective social media marketing strategies including, but not limited to TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor, how to increase engagement via email marketing and other promotional campaigns, and much more… This internship will be conducted virtually and will run from January 2021 through April 2021. A successful internship may lead to a career in an exciting industry.



- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student

- An interest in pursuing communications, social media, marketing, website building, etc..

- Excellent communication skills

- Must be timely and organized

- Willingness and excitement to learn

- Must be a team player

- Candidate should be open-minded and able to adapt quickly in a startup

- Reliability is a requirement

- Available to work 5 hours per week (subject to change)—flexible hours to fit your class schedule


Social Media:

- Work directly with the Creative Director and the Founders, CEO

- Create engaging text, image, and video content for social media accounts

- Setting and implementing social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies

- Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner

- Maintain a regular schedule for posting articles, graphics, images, and stories across Instagram and Facebook

- Stay up to date with digital technology trends and new platforms to create a brand presence

Community Management and PR:

- Build relationships with clients, potential customers, industry professionals and journalists utilizing our CRM and databases

- Assist Creative Director in researching, reaching out to, and scheduling interviews with reporters and journalists

Marketing/Market Analysis:

- Gather data on competitors and analyze their prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution.

- Research new methods to increase brand awareness and connect directly with potential customers

- Establish a foothold in niche client groups in order to reach customers directly
