Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is required. Three years of professional engineering experience involving the design and construction of public works projects, and related project administration functions is required. Experience within a specific field related to the position assignment is highly desirable.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) certification from the California State Board of Registration for Civil and Professional Engineers is required.
Registration in the State of California by the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists as a Civil Engineer or Traffic Engineer is required.State of California Health Department Certification in water treatment or water distribution is highly desirable.
Valid Class C California driver license, acceptable driving record, and evidence of insurance are required.
Ability to work extended hours in order to complete projects, attend meetings, and accommodate city needs.
