Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of 12 semester units or 18 quarter units in computer-related courses from a recognized college, vocational or trade school, or equivalent specialized training program.
Experience: Two years of experience implementing and monitoring information technology security solutions and programs.
Equivalency Provision: A Security+, or CompTIA A+, or Google Cybersecurity Professional certification may substitute for the 12 semester units or 18 quarter units in computer related coursework.
Additional Requirements: A valid California driver's license and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required. Professional certification in one of the following is preferred: Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), EC-Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA), Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (SEC), or equivalent.
