Any combination of education and experience that would have provided the required knowledge and skills such as:

An Associate's degree in Data Processing or Computer Sciences or a Certification in Data Processing;
AND
Three years of journey level related experience in technical computer support with at least two years of professional technical experience working with computer equipment and networks software currently in use by the City.

Ideal Candidate
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the ideal candidate will have:

• Experience with Window Server & User Support, and Active Directory, and Windows Group Policy;
• Experience with VMware virtual server and virtual PC;
• The ability to be self-directed, learn new technology and research best methods and solutions to problems;
• Good oral and written communications skills;
• A team-oriented attitude and the ability to work well with others;
• The capability to handle non-routine or complex maintenance, testing, monitoring, security and troubleshooting and technical support for all centralized and server IT hardware and software;
• Knowledge to performs security audits to safeguard equipment and system.
