EDUCATION:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in human resources management, personnel administration, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field. Master's degree is highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE:- Human Resources Analyst: One (1) year of responsible experience personnel administration or a related field.
- Senior Human Resources Analyst: Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience.
KNOWLEDGE OF:Human resources operations, procedures, policies, rules, objectives and organization; terminology, methods, techniques, principles, and practices of personnel administration; personnel policies and procedures and applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances; proper English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary; modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, recordkeeping techniques and procedures, and computer applications.
ABILITY TO:Understand and interpret rules, laws, and policies and apply them in a variety of procedural situations; independently perform work with accuracy, speed, and initiative; prepare and maintain accurate and complete records and reports; successfully plan, coordinate, and organize workload to meet deadlines with frequent changes in volume of activity and priority of assignments; properly interpret and make decisions in accordance with legal regulations and policies; make mathematical calculations quickly and accurately; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action; establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with others; work confidentially with discretion.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Possession of a valid CA driver's license is highly desirable.
