MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Graduation from high school or equivalent is required. An associate's degree or equivalent number of college units (60 semester or 90 quarter units) from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation is preferred. Coursework or formal training in human resources and/or risk management is highly desirable.

Experience:
Three years of professional experience in the administration or coordination of human resources functions. Experience working in a public school district is highly preferred.

Any other combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considered.

Knowledge of:

  • Laws, rules, and regulations relating to employment processes, records retention, and information security
  • Applicable provisions of collective bargaining agreement
  • IUSD Board and Human Resources Policies
  • Personnel Commission Rules
  • Computer applications
  • Applicant tracking, enterprise-wide human resources, and payroll information systems
  • Methods, practices and procedures used in human resources and risk management
  • Computer software applications including “Google Suite” and internet-based systems.
Ability to:
  • Demonstrate high customer service requiring tact and diplomacy
  • Obtain facts and data pertaining to an issue or question
  • Understand, interpret, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations 4
