DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Principal IT Analyst – Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) is the resident authority and subject-matter expert on all topics related to IT Quality Assurance and Quality Control for the most highly visible IT projects and initiatives. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating various IT Quality Management standards across the IT organization, ensuring adoption and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and business acumen, a wide range of technical skills, and a proven history of being able to influence all levels of an IT organization. The Principal IT Analyst (QA/QC) may also be assigned as project manager for key IT Projects, responsible for directing teams, developing proposals, budgets and schedules, and tracking/reporting progress.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of increasingly responsible experience, of which two years must have been at the Senior Programmer Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst level.

Increasingly Responsible Experience is defined as:  Experience including but not limited to manual and automated testing (functional, regression, integration, UAT, mobile/tablet testing, non-functional testing), and test design and planning (documentation, environment setup, resource utilization, defect management). 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

License(s): Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent (required at time of application) that allows you to drive during your employment.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification and/or 

• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification
