The City of Manhattan Beach - Public Works Department is looking for an energetic, team-player, and highly qualified Management Analyst to provide analytical and administrative support in the Engineering Division. The selected candidate will be a key participant in the continued success of the department/division. 

Under direction, the incumbent serves as a management assistant in performing staff functions; conducts special studies and analyses on various operations and procedures; and does other related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, License and Experience:

• Requires the equivalent to graduation from a college with major work in public administration or a related field and one year of full time staff or administrative experience.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license at the time of employment.

Knowledge of:

• Must have knowledge of the methods and techniques of administrative analysis and completed staff work.
• Municipal government organization and operations.
• Current trends in public administration.

Ability to:

• Ability to analyze administrative problems and situations and present appropriate facts and recommendations in written or oral form
