The Account Clerk is responsible for processing parking permits, business licenses, animal licensing and payments of parking tickets.  While assigned to one primary area of responsibility, Account Clerks are cross-trained in the other functional areas. The Finance Cashier division functions as the cashier for all City departments The Account Clerk will:

  • Assist public and other City departments by acting as cashier and receive payment for all City revenue.
  • Post payments into software systems.
  • Reconcile reports and payment balances between software applications and the financial system.
  • Verify receipts received.
  • Maintain records on correspondence.
  • Prepare billings & purchase orders.
  • Sell bus passes.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and worksheets relating to Finance Department activities.
  • Process parking citation notices.
