Under the direction of a supervisor, this position is responsible for administrative and paraprofessional duties.
The current opening for this position is with our Finance Department. This position will primarily perform payroll and finance functions and tasks.
This is a part-time, at-will position that is not eligible for City benefits. Only those applicants in which the department is interested will receive further contact after application submission.

This position requires:
Knowledge of: Payroll processing and record-keeping; computerized payroll systems; spelling, grammar and punctuation; and mathematical computations.
The ability to: Analyze payroll data; use modern office equipment, including a computer and a calculator; and work independently.
The following skills and/or abilities: Computer literacy with knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to communicate using email programs; understanding and adherence to City policies for information technology; sound decision making skills; critical thinking ability; problem solving and innovation skills; drive for results; analytic skills; interpersonal, customer service and diplomatic skills; ethical conduct; proven top performance.
Education and experience: The position requires graduation from high school or a GED. Payroll, bookkeeping, and/or accounting experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of local government payroll is desirable.
PAY SCALE:
The pay for the Program Coordinator position ranges from $14.00/hour - $50.00/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection process may include but is not limited to: application review and evaluation, written examination, performance test and interview. All employment offers made by the City are contingent upon establishing proof of a prospective candidate's legal authorization to work in the United States and successfully passing all components of the pre-employment process, such as: reference check, background investigation, fingerprint criminal history check, post-offer drug test, post-offer psychological and post-offer medical examination, the cost of which will be borne by the City.
