Our Assessment Process:
Once we have determined that you meet the requirements, we will invite you to take multiple-choice assessments of the competencies required for this job. We will assess quantitative ability, deductive reasoning, verbal ability, professional potential, achievement, independence, influence, confidence and optimism, and reliability.
The assessments are completed online, and the tentative dates to take them are June 11 through June 17, 2019.
You will need to score 70% or greater to pass. If you took an identical assessment in the past 12 months, we automatically transfer your answers to this opportunity. We will transfer your assessment responses to any future opportunity within 12 months.
There are websites that may help you prepare for the assessments. One is our Online Test Prep site, found at https://hr.lacounty.gov/job-search-toolkit/. Another resource is the SHL website, located at https://www.shldirect.com/en/practice-tests. We suggest you review any additional materials you think necessary.
Once you complete the assessments, you are not able to review them per Civil Service Rule 7.19.
If you have a disability and need accommodation to take the assessment, let us know by contacting the ADA Coordinator at adarequests@hr.lacounty.gov. The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can respond to your request and keep you moving through the process.
What Happens Next:
We ask that you submit an application through the "Apply" link at the top of the opportunity posting. You will move through the assessment process and if you pass, we will place your results on a list. We will then invite the highest scoring group to an interview.
