The CW Network - a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corporation is looking for a fall intern in our Alternative Programming Dept.
This is an 8 week part-time, paid internship. No recent graduates, must be currently enrolled and attending college fall 2018 .
• Maintain and update our Submission log of all incoming unscripted pitches. • Keep a running list of producers and talent we are meeting or should know about. • Research/track competitive non-scripted shows and send a weekly email update with noteworthy items. • Create consistent summaries of interesting talent, experts, books, blogs and trends for potential development. • Watch/track primetime television to keep department abreast of what’s resonating with audiences. • Work with Development team and Producers on specific projects (including the department’s series and specials). • Participate in meetings, offering opinions, insights and suggestions on creative. • Provide feedback and opinions on pitch materials for projects in consideration. • Sit in on various internal staff meetings. • Perform other related job duties (including filing and administrative assistance) and projects as assigned. • Will have the opportunity to join pitch meetings and attend set, if applicable. • Will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of an assistant desk, and potentially cover those duties if needed.
Must have a passion and desire for a career in television. A strong knowledge of new and current pop culture is important. An interest in non-scripted television is a huge plus.
