This position requires: 

Knowledge of: Managing projects for, operating and maintaining complex computer infrastructure including virtual servers, cloud servers, M365, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, backups, physical servers and storage, networks, cybersecurity practices and tools and other related equipment in support of Windows clients; VMware, Cisco/Meraki, Infoblox, MDM, Veeam and RingCentral familiarity is a plus.

Ability to: Meet the physical employment standards for the classification; install, maintain, operate and configure computer hardware and software; provide support for the City’s computers and users; troubleshoot personal computer and hardware problems and malfunctions and offer recommendations; effectively understand and follow oral and written directions; communicate clearly and concisely , both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; operate a motor vehicle in the State of California; and lift equipment weighing fifty (50) or more pounds. 

Required Education, Experience, and or Licenses: This position requires a high school diploma or G.E.D. and at least three (3) years of technical experience in performing a full range of infrastructure support and networking activities including experience in complex windows-based server environments.  One year of experience may be substituted by a Bachelor’s degree. Must possess a valid California driver’s license at all times.
