Created in 1993, LAHSA is a joint powers authority of the city and county of Los Angeles. As the lead agency in the HUD-funded Los Angeles Continuum of Care, we coordinate and manage over $300 million annually in federal, state, county, and city funds for programs providing shelter, housing, and services to people experiencing homelessness.
Under the leadership of the Manager, this position provides advanced-level support to a wide variety of Human Resources functions with specific emphasis on employment and recruitment, and special projects.
Essential Job Functions
Works with HR Manager to develop ideal candidate criteria
Assists with creation of new and revisions to existing job descriptions
Use, manage and train others on NEOGOV (Applicant Tracking System) for recruitment
Reviews and forwards resume of ideal candidates based on job requirements
Establish relationships with staffing agencies and private firms for temporary assignments
Maintain all logs related to recruitment
Schedules and attends job/career fairs throughout the year
Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as source to generate qualified applications
Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants
Preparers job announcements and advertisements for recruitment postings
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office
Excellent organization, analytical, written and oral communications skills
Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while exercising sound judgement
Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex problems
Must be a confident self-starter who can develop effective business relationships, both internally and externally
Training & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources environment
Minimum 1 year experience using an Applicant Tracking Systems
Experience with recruitment process
Salary Range: $51,314 - $74,406 Appointments are typically made between the minimum and the midpoint of the range, depending on qualifications.
