Under the direction of the Project Director, the Budget Financial Analyst provides administrative support to the Principal Investigator and Project Director under the newly funded Allied Health Academy Health Careers Opportunity Program grant.
Essential Duties
Oversee and monitor the administration for post-award financial tasks.
Monitor expiration dates and major changes in budget as well as reporting deadlines.
Work in collaboration with faculty and ASC Sponsored Program Administrator to avoid liability for cost overruns, disallowances, or other issues with the project.
Monitor grant balances, conduct ongoing reconciliation of grant accounts, assist in resolving discrepancies, anticipating and detecting financial problems, proposing solutions and independently initiating corrective measures.
Assist faculty with budget modifications and provide ASC Sponsored Program Administrator with revised budget and justification to present to sponsor for recommended approval.
Work in collaboration with ASC accounting office to determine appropriate accounting procedures for expenditures.
Initiate and prepare proper forms for all payments under the research studies (e.g. check requests, purchase orders, travel authorizations/expense claims, participant incentives, student scholarships, independent consultant agreements and payments, faculty release/additional pay, subcontracts, etc.).
Attend program financial meetings with Principal Investigator/Project Director on a regular basis.

Other financial tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5-10 year experience managing various federal/private external funded projects.
Experience working with CSUF Auxiliary Services Sponsored Programs.Experience working with One Solution and Excel.
EDUCATION: Master's degree from an accredited institution.
