Position Information

The Superior Court of California, County of Orange
 is now accepting applications for:
 
USER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN I
(The User Support Technician I is an entry level into the User Support Technician series. Incumbents are expected to qualify for advancement to the User Support Technician II level by the end of the twelve (12) month probationary period; this includes obtaining an A+ Certification. There is no regular status at the User Support Technician I level.) 

ANNUAL SALARY
$55,515.20 - $68,723.20

The Court Technology Services Help Desk Unit has an exciting opportunity to fill a User Support Technician I vacancy. USER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN I

Minimum Qualifications

Experience: 
Two years of full-time experience supporting end-users in the use and operation of computer hardware and software.
 
Education:
Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent
  
Experience/Education Substitution:
An Associate's degree in computer technology or comparable degree or the equivalent coursework in a trade or vocational school may be substituted for the required experience.
 
Licenses and Certification:
A valid California Class C driver's license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions at various Justice Centers.
 
A+ Certification issued by the Computing Technology Industry Association or equivalent is desirable for the User Support Technician I level.  (Note: This certification is required to promote to the User Support Technician II level.)

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; bend, kneel and stoop to access cables and data ports underneath and behind desks and furniture; hear clearly both in-person and over the telephone; vision for both close and distance work.
